“Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.”

- Søren Kierkegaard

Photography and videography have always been a way for me to understand a little bit more about the world. Looking back at moments in our own history, we are able to tell stories about the world around us.

I first got into photography when my grandfather gave me his old Petri 7s. From that point forward, I became overwhelmed with the need to tell stories about the people around me. Videography was a natural step as my love for documentation and visual storytelling grew deeper.

I obtained my Bachelor’s degree of Fine Arts with a concentration in Photography from Wright State University in the spring of 2020. While in school, I was a part of Wright State’s marketing and communications department as a Social Media Photo & Video Content Producer, working as a cameraman, editor, scriptwriter, story-boarder, and graphic designer.

From early 2021 to the end of 2023 I worked with the YMCA of Greater Dayton as their Video and Digital Media specialist, creating commercials, social media content, internal productions, web design & maintenance.

In late 2024 I joined the CAT team and currently am leading the production of Dozuki training content standards nationwide.

Things about me:

  • I got married to my best friend on Leap Day 2020

  • I photographed my own proposal and wedding on a large format film camera.

  • We went to Edinburgh, Scotland for our honeymoon. We hope to move there in the future.

  • I have a collection of 137 film cameras that I fix and shoot.

  • My favorite film camera is my point-and-shoot Olympus X-A2. When capturing the little moments in life, it’s best not to get bogged down with exposure times.
